During my recent travels, I had the pleasure of staying at Athithi Villa in Hikkaduwa. This hotel proved to be an excellent choice for a transit stay. Located just 4.9 km from Hikkaduwa, it provided convenient access to this bustling town. its proximity to Koggala, which is only 30 km away, made it an ideal base for exploring this charming area.

The hotel is situated quite close to a railway line.

The rooms were spacious and the kitchenette was very functional. The bathroom was super clean and had excellent water pressure with hot water. The daily room cleaning was done to perfection and the entire hotel was well maintained. The swimming pool was a great size and always warm. The owner, Lalith, and his right-hand man, Indika, were helpful and provided valuable information about the area. Antonio, the breakfast chef, served up delicious meals every morning. The beach was just a short walk away and there were tuk-tuks available for exploring nearby beaches.

The staff at Athithi Villa were so friendly and helpful. I loved how they could arrange everything for me, from tours to airport transfers. And the pool was nice too, with free towels and sun loungers. Such a convenient place!

Oh, and let's not forget about the lovely sound of trains passing by at all hours of the day. What a delightful surprise!
